No — Bowlerswap is free during launch. Listing, browsing, messaging, and completing a sale all cost $0. Sellers will get plenty of notice before any fees are introduced, and basic listings will always have a free tier.

Does Bowlerswap process payments?

No. Bowlerswap is a marketplace — buyers and sellers arrange payment directly (Venmo, PayPal Goods & Services, Zelle, cash on pickup, etc.). We never hold your money and never see your payment details.

What does a typical sale look like?

Buyer messages the seller, they agree on price, shipping, and payment app in chat, buyer pays the seller directly, seller ships or meets up and shares tracking, then both parties leave feedback.

Who handles shipping?

The seller. We recommend USPS Priority Mail Medium Flat-Rate for single balls and always including tracking and insurance for items over $50. Sellers should ship within 3 business days of payment.

What if the item isn't as described?

Message the seller first — most issues are resolved in chat. If you paid with PayPal Goods & Services or a credit card, you have buyer protection through them. You can also report the listing and we will review the seller's account.

How do I avoid getting scammed?

Never pay with gift cards, wire transfer, or crypto. Use PayPal Goods & Services or a credit card for buyer protection. Keep communication inside Bowlerswap messages. Ask for extra photos if anything feels off. For local meetups, pick a public spot like a bowling center parking lot.

How do I report a suspicious listing or user?

Use the Report button on any listing, or email support@bowlerswap.com. We review every report and remove bad actors.

Who can use Bowlerswap?

Accepted Answer

Anyone 18 or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). You can browse without an account — you only need to sign up to message sellers, save listings, or post your own.

Do I have to pick buyer or seller when I sign up?

Accepted Answer

No. Every account can browse, buy, and sell. Pro shops can verify their account for a badge — contact support@bowlerswap.com.

Question 11

How long does it take for my listing to go live?

Accepted Answer

New listings are reviewed before going live — usually within a few hours. We do this to keep scams and prohibited items off the site.

How are listings ordered when I browse?

Accepted Answer

Newest first by default. You can sort by price, distance (when you've shared your location), or oldest using the Sort menu on the browse page.
